Ms. Donlon is an attorney at The Law Offices of Glen J. Torcivia & Associates, P.A., in West Palm Beach where she focuses her practice on representing employers in employment law issues and litigation. 

She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and was named by HRPBC as the 2007 Human Resources Professional of the Year.  Ms. Donlon previously served as HRPBC’s Treasurer and Legislative Chair.  She has also assisted in teaching the employment law section of HRPBC’s Certification Prep Course at Northwood University.

Dominique Cultrera, PHR joined ScriptLogic in 2004 and oversees the Human Resources globally for ScriptLogic, bringing more than 10 years of Human Resources experience with her. Previously she worked for Cenetec, a venture capital group, as the Director of Human Resources being responsible for Cenetec’s Human Resources as well as their 12 client companies. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science, with a double major International Business and Marketing and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

She has held various roles within the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach county including the immediate Past President and previously served as HRPBC’s Treasurer, Communications and Conference Chair.

Brian is the Executive Director of Human Resource Operations for Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida. In this role he oversees Organizational Development, the Center for Lifelong Learning, and leadership responsibilities for Human Resource operations. He earned his Masters in Management with a focus on Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and maintains many certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation.  He was awarded the 2004 Palm Healthcare Foundation’s Commitment to Community and the 2008 HRPBC’s Human Resource Professional of the Year.

He is also active on several advisory and health care related boards. Brian previously served as a HRPBC Board of Director and currently serves as the HRPBC Secretary.

Gary J. Sapir, M.S., SPHR is the President of Integrated Performance Resources, Inc. Gary Sapir has over 25 years of experience as an HR Professional, Performance and Organization Development Consultant, Master Trainer, Executive Coach, Speaker, and Program Developer. In 2000, Gary became the founding President of Integrated Performance Resources, Inc., a firm created to guide individuals and organizations to improved performance through assessment, training, coaching, HR and organizational development strategies. Gary holds a B.S. in Psychology, M.S. in Counseling Psychology and SPHR certification from the HRCI.

Gary has served on the board of the HR Association of Broward County from 2002 to 2005 and was elected President of HRABC in 2006. He served three years on the board of ASTD and was the 2002 President of the Ft. Lauderdale Chapter of ASTD. His professional association experience also includes being a founding member of the Organization Development Network. Gary was a Board Director for the HR Association of Palm Beach County in 2008 and is the current 2009 Treasurer for HRPBC.

Olga is an HR professional  with 20 years of substantial operational, strategic and administrative experience. Olga is HR Business Partner for Allstate Insurance Company. Over the years Olga has established expertise in HR Department Management, Talent Strategy and Acquisition; Leadership Development; HR Strategy Development; Change Management; Talent Management; Organizational Design and Development; Quality Development; Performance Management; HR Metrics; Employee Relations; Diversity; and HR Policy and Compliance.

Olga is a Past President of HRPBC. She has served on HRPBC board in various roles for the past 5 years. In 2005 Olga was awarded the HRPBC Professional of the Year award.  She is a graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and is currently pursuing her MBA.

Marilyn C. Durant, M.S., SPHR is President and Human Capital Consultant of Durant Resources Group.

Marilyn is an accredited Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute.  With more than twenty-five years of HR experience, Marilyn’s currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County, Past President’s Advisory Council for HR Association of Broward County, The Mentor program for South Florida Compensation and Benefits Association and participates in the Financial Executives International Association.

Marilyn was awarded the Florida Business Journal’s Excellence in HR Award. She was District Director for five HR Florida chapters for three years and was awarded District Director of the year. Marilyn is also Past President of the HR Association of Broward County, and was awarded the President of the year in 2001 and was also inducted to the HR HALL of Fame for the HR Association of Broward. Marilyn served on the Board of the Child Care Resources and Referral Services.

Kari has held human resource leadership positions in “start up,” mid-sized, and large, international corporations for a variety of industries including healthcare, utilities, and professional services.  She is currently employed as HR Manager for T-Mobile, USA.  She holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management and has been awarded the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation by the Human Resource Certification Institute. 

Kari has also been an active volunteer holding leadership positions at the local, state and national level of SHRM and serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross.   Past SHRM volunteerism includes co-founder and President of the Volusia/Flagler (Daytona Beach) Chapter of SHRM; Secretary - Board of Directors, HR Florida; a variety of chair positions for the HR Florida State Conference; and Co-Chair of Volunteers for the National SHRM Conference.

Eric Gordon is a Shareholder with the national law firm, Akerman Senterfitt. Eric devotes himself and his practice to the representation of employers in labor and employment matters. His practice includes representing clients in litigation and arbitration and day-to-day preventative counseling and in-house training programs. He is also a frequent lecturer on both the local and national level.

Eric has been an active member of HRPBC since 2004, having served at various times on the Board of Directors.

Rose Amberson, MSW, SPHR, is the newly appointed Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational for Tropical Financial Credit Union.  Prior to this position, Rose led the Human Capital Services Division of Seitlin Benefits and Human Capital Management.  Rose is an accredited Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute. She had completed Champion Training in Six Sigma, and has also completed the “Workplace Wellness University” certification through the Wellness Council of America.  In 2005 Rose was recognized by her peers with the South Florida Business Journal’s Excellence in Human Resources Award. 

In addition to serving as our Programs Chair, she holds additional memberships with the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the Wellness Council of America (Welcoa).

Jennifer is the Director of Human Resources for Johnson-Davis, Inc., an underground utilities construction contractor in Lantana, Florida .  Previously, she was the Manager of Human Resources Administration for Cruzan International, Inc. located in West Palm Beach .  Jennifer is a diverse Human Resources professional with over 13 years of Human Resources experience in various industries.  Jennifer has been an active member of SHRM and HRPBC since 2005 and recently served on the Community Relations and Hospitality Committees. 
 

Matt Sherman is the Area Vice President, Director of Select Business Unit (S.B.U.) for Gallagher Benefit Services. Matt joined Gallagher Benefits Services in 2007 and is responsible for working alongside Business Owners, Chief Financial Officers, Human Resource Managers, and Benefits Specialists to help achieve the very best benefit plans for their organization. In addition to providing service to his clients, he provides marketing and overall business development to BMG Gallagher.

Matt's volunteer experience include HRPBC (2009 Chairperson – Membership Committee), SHRM – HRABC, GMSHRM, HRMA, National Association of Health Underwriters, the Association for Long Term Care Insurance, and Florida Association of Insurance Agents.

Marlene has twenty years of experience in human resources in the healthcare industry and is certified as an SPHR. To add value as a business partner, Marlene acheived certification as a Healthcare Risk Manager and the state requirements for an Assisted Living Administrator.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and earned a Master’s degree in Human
Resources Development and Administration from Barry University.

Marlene is an Adjunct Instructor at Keiser and South Universities and is a member of the Executive Volunteer Corp of Nonprofits First in Palm Beach County.

Darron is Chief of Human Resources for The School District of Palm Beach County, which he was appointed to in June 2006. Darron previously worked in the private sector for fourteen years with Nabi Biopharmaceuticals in Boca Raton in roles of increasing responsibility in operations management and human resources management. Darron is a graduate of Tulane University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management with a concentration in Human Resources.

He and his wife of fifteen years, Denise, are the proud parents of two beautiful girls; Darryen (6 yrs old) and the newest addition to the family, Danielle who was just born on April 14th.

Darron is a long time board member and chairperson with HRPBC since 1999. He is currently the Chairperson of the Workforce Readiness/Education Task Force. Previous roles included Diversity Chair and Professional Development /Certification Chair.

Katie Beirne, PHR is an HR Consultant for Gevity in Boca Raton.

She has been a HRPBC member since 2005. She served as Hospitality Chair for 2008 and in 2009 is the Community Relations/ Foundation Chair. She has also been a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) member from 2000-2001, 2004- present. Other volunteer groups she was involved in were: Covenant House of Young Professionals (2002-2005), Single Volunteers of South Florida, Habitat for Humanity (2008) and various charity runs for MS, cancer, diabetes, leukemia, etc.

Kathy Coughlin is co-founder and president of Team HR, a consulting firm specializing in providing solutions to human resources challenges facing employers today. She has over twenty years of human resources management experience and a masters degree in Public Administration.

In addition to being the Legislative Chair for HRPBC she is a member of the Boca Raton Chamber, Medical Group Managers Association and board member of the Gold Cost Down syndrome Association. Kathy has been an active member of SHRM for many years and was Chapter President for upstate New York.  Kathy recently attended the SHRM Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. and delivered a legislative update at the April 2009 meeting.

Tim Garman is a Partner with the Professional Recruiting Firm, Infixx Management Corp, and assisted in the founding of the organization in 2007. 

He currently serves as the HRPBC Communications Chair and has been a member of HRPBC since 2005, previously serving on the Hospitality committee. Tim’s other volunteer work includes active participation with the March of Dimes as well as other community charitable organizations.

Lauren Lapon, is a Partner with Infixx Management Corp, a professional recruiting firm located in Palm Beach County.

She became involved with the Human Resources  Association of Palm Beach County in 2006.  Previously, she was also a member with the Human Resources Association of Broward County. She began volunteering on the HRPBC Hospitality Committee in 2008 and Lauren currently holds the position of 2009 Hospitality Chair for HRPBC. Lauren is very actively involved within the community, with some of her additional volunteer experience including working with the March of Dimes, Junior League of Boca Raton, and Association for Community Counseling.

Laurie B. Myers, PHR, is HR Generalist at Sysco Southeast Florida . With over 13 years of experience in Human Resources, she works closely with associates from hire to retire and all areas in between. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education from Florida State University.

She has been an active member of HRPBC for ten years and has held the following positions: Secretary, Hospitality Director, Facilities Chair, and has also been involved in several committees throughout the years.

Ms. Prager is Director of Human Resources at Radiology Associates of Hollywood, PA.  Despite her demanding role, she has volunteered in many different capacities for SHRM-affiliated organizations. 

She previously served the Human Resource Association of Broward County as Membership Director (2002 and 2003) President Elect (2004), President (2005) and Past President (2006).  She also served on HRABC’s 2006 Bylaws Committee and the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009 Nominating Committees).  While President Elect for HRABC, Ms. Prager participated in 2004 SHRM Showcase of Leadership Excellence.  At the state level, Ms. Prager served as a council member during her tenure as HRABC’s 2004 Chapter President, Strategy Chair (2006), and Treasurer (2007). In addition to her dedication to SHRM-affiliated organizations, she served as the Membership VP in 2006 for ASTD’s Fort Lauderdale Chapter. Prior to moving to Florida, she served in numerous volunteer capacities for various charitable organizations.
