Onboarding is swiftly becoming a hot topic in both the public and private sectors. More and more organizations are turning their attention to improving their onboarding processes and leveraging technology to effectively transition new employees into their organizations. Research has shown that best-in-class onboarding programs not only enhance new employee feelings of morale and acceptance, but also increase employee retention rates, communication, productivity and development. This session will define onboarding and review best practices in designing and developing programs for effective employee and executive onboarding. Examples of how one independent Federal agency is enhancing its own onboarding program will be provided, along with take-away tips for approaching onboarding at your organization.
