Pre-Paid System
In an effort to continuously improve and streamline our processes, HRPBC’s Board of Directors has adopted a prepaid system for our event registration.
Beginning with our August 20, 2009, event, HRPBC must receive payment for the event no later than 5:00pm the Friday before the meeting, which is also the early-bird registration deadline. In the case of our August meeting, the deadline to receive payment is August 14, 2009. For the more than 70% of our members and guests who register and pay online, this change will not impact you. For those of us who provide a company or personal check for payment, we must be sure to mail it in time for HRPBC to receive it before the deadline. HRPBC will still be accepting late registrations on the Monday before the meeting at the increased price, but those will require an online payment. Additionally, we will continue to allow members and guests to attend events as a walk-in, providing space is available at the event. Walk-in registrants will be able to pay by check or credit card at the door.
We appreciate your support as we transition to this pre-paid system. We believe that you will see the benefit of these changes through shorter check-in lines at registration.
Workshop Policy
HRPBC is proud to regularly provide our members and guests with no-cost workshops prior to our dinner meeting events. Providing these educational workshops generally allows our dinner meeting attendees to obtain an additional hour of recertification credit in a smaller classroom setting. As many of you are aware, these workshops are extremely popular and we often reach capacity. To better ensure that those attending the dinner meetings have the first opportunity to attend the workshop in addition to the dinner event, we have modified the registration process on our website.
Beginning this month, in order to register for the workshop, you will first need to register for the dinner meeting. The new website system will not allow a registrant to register for the workshop alone, or prior to registering for the dinner meeting. We are optimistic that this new process will allow our dinner meeting attendees more opportunities to attend the pre-meeting workshops.
Please note that our Water Cooler Series for members in transition is a stand-alone event and does not require a dinner meeting registration. We have provided this series in an effort to serve our local professionals in transition.
